It was a busy week at Belvedere Flowers, as we had 2 weddings at Appleford in Villanova PA. One on Friday, and one on Saturday May 29, 2010.
We also had the pleasure of working with Sage Catering in Berwyn PA on both days! Darby and her crew did a great job & I hope to do more work with them in the future.
What a small world, what are the chances of both brides booking Appleford Estate, Sage Catering, & Belvedere Flowers all in the same weekend?!
Ok, well you know I have lots of videos and photos to share, and I also want to talk about the 2 weddings a little bit, and what a pleasure it was to work with 2 amazing brides and families!
I will start with the flowers we just finished yesterday for the Cayer-Foster wedding.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with the bride, Alexandra, her sister, Stephanie, and their mom, Judith to talk about wedding flowers. Stephanie & Alexandra came in prepared with some what of a plan for what colors they wanted, and what style of centerpieces they were looking for. Stephanie is also very talented, and probably could have done the job herself! She created the pom poms hanging from the tent with tangerine and lime green wax tissue paper I provided for her. She also created the guest table moss trays with cards too.
I love that they really had an accurate plan for what they wanted, but also gave me the flexibility to add our style and input to the mix. This is a great family, and I am glad they gave me the opportunity to create their wedding flowers!
All bridal flowers and bouquets were delivered to the Philadelphia Marriott West in West Conshohocken, PA. Church flowers such as altar pieces, candle rings, pew bows, and decorations for outside of church were delivered and set up by Belvedere Flowers to Saint Denis Church in Havertown PA. All reception flowers, high and low table centerpieces, were delivered and set up by Belvedere at Appleford in Villanova PA on Saturday May 29, 2010.
Here are some photos of the bridal bouquets featuring escimo white, and sahara beige roses, with white hydrangeas, and crystal blush mini calla lilies in the bride's bouquet & mini green hydrangeas, versilia peach & sahara roses, with green hypericum berry and Italian ruscis greens in the bridesmaids bouquets.
Below are some photos of the flowers for Saint Denis Church Ceremony. I love that Alexandra decided to only use white and cream flowers in the church, to focus mainly on the colors used in her bridal bouquet, rather than bringing in the bridesmaid peaches, and green hydrangea colors too.
This way it makes the reception centerpieces look that much more interesting when the guests arrive at Appleford later!
For the church we created 2 large altar pieces, 2 beautiful candle rings flowing with white flowers and Italian ruscis & springrei foliages. We also provided white satin pew bows, and decorated the front railing outside of the church.
Last but not least, photos below of the beautiful table centerpieces created for Appleford!
There was 10 table centerpieces, 5 high, and 5 low.
For the 5 low tables, we used a clear cylinder vase lined with tai leaves. Flowers used were mini green hydrangea, mozart peach mini calla lily, green hypericum berry, orange unique rose, peach versilia rose, Italian ruscis, and variegated pitt foliages.
The 5 tall table centerpieces were created on site using curly willow branches, Italian ruscis foliage, mini green hydrangeas, and orange unique roses, with a few green hypericum berries added too. These tall glass pedestal vases are rented and are picked up at the end of the night or the following day depending on venue. These are one of my favorite centerpieces we have done in a while!
Here is 3 videos below, first one showing the making of the bouquets & low centerpieces. The second video shows the church flowers, and the third video shows the set up and finished centerpieces at Appleford in Villanova PA!
Thanks again to the amazing Cayer family and to Darby at Sage
Ok, I also want to talk about another great bride and groom I had the pleasure of working with on the day before, Paola & Xavier!
Paola is another favorite for me personally. We even chat on Facebook, where she gives me a lot of support on my Belvedere Flowers Business Page on Facebook. She is so sweet and always has nice things to say about us! Paola also had a good idea of what she was looking for and even brought Xavier along for the in store consultation. She was looking for something different than the traditional centerpiece and decided on submerging lavender roses inside clear glass cube vases with river rocks and curly willow branches. Her bridal bouquets also had a lavender/purple theme to them. Her Aunt was also very kind and decided to add ceremony arrangements and decorate the stairs at Appleford.
The bridal bouquets were created using ocean song lavender roses, picasso mini calla lilies, green hypericum berries, purple dendobium orchids, waxflower, thistle & escimo roses, white hydrangea for bride, along with lavender hidcote from the garden used in all bouquets!
Here are some photos of the bouquets below-
